A spoken word and sound performance by young Australian migrant activists from Eritrean, Palestinian, Persian and Uyghur heritage, that wrestles with their complex experiences of duty and allegiance as members of transnational communities and a settler colony.
Storyteller, poet and intercultural awareness activist, Manal Younus, is collaborating with fellow activists and writers Adila Yarmuhamad and Beljana Dally, and sound and performance artist Nelya Valamanesh, in this exploration of leadership, community and change.
During Adhocracy, the women will share their experiences through speaking and writing together, develop the textual and sound world of the work, and experiment with the theatricality of the performance.
