A collaborative performance utopia about building community and building a home. Part storytelling, part old-fashioned barn-raising, this is participatory theatre about how we find, hold and rebuild a foundation in the wake of loss and transience.
Playwright, director and educator Fleur Kilpatrick brings her personal experience of loss during the pandemic to this live performance installation, created with theatre designer and artist Meg Wilson, and director and dramaturg Nescha Jelk.
Across Adhocracy, the artists will test the work’s premise of building a community by building something as a community, exploring both the theories underpinning, and the practicalities of achieving, this idea, with audiences and each other.
